Matthew 13:23, “And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundred,
and brings forth, so sixty, and some thirty-fold.”
Hosea 8:7, “For they sow the wind, and they reap the whirlwind.”
John 15:8, By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
The heart of Jesus was that His followers would sow seeds of the gospel, as we make our journey through life. This week, I’m giving you several thoughts on sowing good seeds for Christ. The next thought of the week on sowing seeds is, you reap more than you sow.
Read this little poem:
“You can count the seeds in an apple,
but only God can count the apples in a seed.”
In other words, if I plant one apple seed and it produces a tree, I can’t even count the number of apples that one seed can produce. It’s the same way with a farmer, if a farmer plants one seed of corn and stalk grows, how many ears of corn can that produce? Remember this point, you always reap more than you sow. Therefore, if you sow a lot of good seed today, trust God that someday you will reap far more than you have sown. However, don’t forget that it is also just as true that if you sow a lot of bad seed today, you will continue to reap an abundance of bad outcomes, results, experiences, hardships, and short-comings. So invest in sowing good seeds today.
Think about that and happy sowing!
