Hi, this is Ryan Ross, Missions Pastor at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church with your inspirational thought of the day.

One of the most moving places I’ve ever been is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington DC. This memorial is to soldiers we do not  know by name. What we do know is the sacrifice they made and  the blessing of living in a country they sacrificed to protect.

In one of my favorite stories from scripture God’s people are facing insurmountable odds. What God’s people did not see was that they were surrounded by God’s army. Horses and chariots of fire surrounded the enemy before them.

We will give thanks this week for many things we do see, many blessing we can physically touch. But its also good and important to give thanks for all the things we don’t see.

Give thanks today for the unseen and sometimes unknown protection and provision from the Lord.
