With summer approaching, there is a lot of buzz about getting fit.
A recent article about getting in shape for summer gave 6 steps to help. The steps seemed pretty simple: Start moving; set goals; make it fun, & get toned! Truthfully, not a lot of rocket science is required – we just have to do something. This principle is also true in our spiritual lives.
If we want to start growing in our spiritual lives, it does not require a seminary degree. We simply need to get moving. So, here is my simple recipe for getting spiritually fit: Start moving; set goals; make it fun, & get toned!
Scripture tells us in Acts that this is how the early church operated.
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. (They started moving.) They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. (They made it fun.) And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (They got toned.) Acts 2:46-47
So join us this week @ Cottonwood Creek to get/stay fit. Think about it, and have a blessed day!
