The British retail-clothing store NEXT had been slumping for years with declining profits and sales, but over the last few years in a tough economy a new CEO was able to turn the company around and turn losses into profits.
As a result, the Board of Directors voted to give him a $3.6 million dollar bonus this year. Instead of taking the money, the CEO decided to give his entire bonus to the employees. Here was the note from the CEO to the employees: This is…”a gesture of thanks and appreciation from the company for the hard work and commitment you have given to Next over the past three years and through some very tough times.”
Now that truly is an act of incredible kindness from the CEO of a company, but even that kind gesture won’t meet all the needs of every employee because some of the employees will only receive about $300.

However, the Apostle Paul noted that we serve a God that does meet all our needs. In Philippians 4:19, Paul said, “…my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

Now that is an act of kindness that is worth noting!

Think about it, and have a blessed day!
