How generous are you when others are hurting?  When tragedies strike like the recent tornado in Oklahoma, there is always that desire to help, but at the same time we have an understanding that our personal resources are limited.  As you think about doing your part to help, let me remind you of what the book of Proverbs says, “The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).

Recently, Kevin Durant did just that.  The Basketball star for the Oklahoma Thunder and NBA good-guy just donated $1 million to help with the Oklahoma disaster relief.

The book of Deuteronomy also says, “Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to” (Deuteronomy 15:10).

Now that is some encouraging feedback.  When we are generous so is God!

Think about it, and have a blessed day!
