Today’s Inspirational Thought is brought to us by Kathy Bennett, the Women’s Minister at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church.
I heard about a woman who was sitting in total darkness in a European hotel. Many hotels in Europe use key cards that not only open the door, but also turn on the lights in the room. That way, when you leave the room, everything, including heat, air, and lights turn off.
This woman sat in the dark room while her husband went to get something from the car. She was left behind without a cell phone or the key card required for the electricity to function. The key card is a very green idea, but not so user-friendly.
While in the darkness, she thought about God. God is always available, ready and willing to give us His Light. He isn’t stingy with it, doesn’t ask us to use it sparingly, and He never makes us sit in darkness because “God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
Have you ever pondered that… no darkness … not even a shadow? Awesome!
Have a blessed day,
