Hi, this is Ryan Ross, Missions Pastor at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church with your Inspirational Thought of the day.

The Dallas Cowboys are a frustrating bunch. For die-hard fans like me, they don’t make it easy. One of the biggest complaints I hear about these Cowboys is they have no identity. For many seasons now, they have strolled along winning about as many games as they lose.  Unlike Cowboy teams of old that were known for their defensive grit, or offensive precision, this team just bumps along with no defining identity.

What do you stand for? What is your identity? If you are a Christian, you should be known for being like Christ. The Bible reminds me that as a true believer in Christ I have been “crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”  (Galatians 2:20).

I want to be known by my identity in Christ. This means I must choose each day to be like Christ. I can’t ride the fence or stand back in fear or allow evil to win in my heart. I must stand up and be known for Christ who lives in me.

Think about it, and have a blessed day!
