Hebrews 13:15, Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess His name. 16And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. 17Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
Deuteronomy 15:10, Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.
Proverbs 22:9, The generous will themselves be blessed…
At Cottonwood Creek, I’ve been teaching a series entitled, “Building A Great Life God’s Way!” We have learned that faith and commitment are a couple of key ingredients to building a great life. This week’s key for building a great life is- sacrifice. Sacrifice is defined as surrendering or giving up something for the sake of someone else. We can’t have a great life if we live a selfish life
When we live a life of sacrifice, we bless others. Deuteronomy 15:10 states, “Give generously to others and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” Giving generously to help others with the RIGHT heart results positive payoff. God promises to bless you in all your work and everything you do. The opposite of that is true as well, if everything we make, earn or do is used selfishly, then scripture says our works are not blessed by God. As you make your journey, use what you have to bless others, and then trust that God will bless you in return.
Think about that and have a blessed day!
