I recently read an article in a fitness column that claimed you may extend your life by 1&1/2 -2 minutes for every minute you walk. There are many reported health benefits of daily walks:

Walking:
• Increases Your Lifespan
• Wards Off Diabetes
• Keeps Your Mind Sharp
• Helps Lower Blood Pressure
• is Great for Bone Health
• Cuts the Risk of Stroke
• Improves Your Mood
• Burns Calories
• And helps with Insomnia

So, at the very least, focus on taking a walk today!  But, as good as a physically walk is for us, Paul prayed that our spiritual walk would be just as good.

He said, I “…pray… that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father.

Let’s get spiritually fit today. Doing good works and studying God’s Word will result in spiritual endurance, patience, joy and thankfulness. So, lace up your physical shoes today, and get walking.  But, do not ignore  your spiritual footwear either!
Have a Blessed Day!
