Recently, a grandmother and doting dog owner in Hawaii, took her Pomeranian-Maltese mix to a pet store for grooming. However, when she got her puppy home, she noticed that something was missing—part of her dog’s ear!

She quickly took her to the vet where the doctor told her it looked like the pet-groomer had accidentally cut off part of the dog’s ear and tried to glue the missing ear piece back. As you might imagine, this doting dog owner wasn’t very pleased at this temporary and failed attempt to fix a mistake.

That story made me wonder how many failed and temporary fixes we try in our lives. Also, it reminded me that God fixes everything in our lives, and He does so permanently.

The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

So if you need more than just a quick fix today, seek God’s help. His fixes are more than cosmetic; they are permanent.
