Truthfully, you really can’t beat the heat; all you can do is survive it or avoid it.  Every year (around June/July), countless articles give great advice on enduring the heat if you absolutely cannot avoid it.  According to the “beat the heat specialist,” there are a few tips that may help you survive the high temperatures of summer:

Tip 1: Drink liquids in frequent intervals…do not wait until you are at maximum thirst and then chug a bunch of water.

Tip 2: Dress Strategically…wear light colored clothing and shoes that reflect the sun’s heat instead of absorbing it.

Interestingly, the same two tips can be used to help you beat those tough times in life, times when life heats up and circumstances are sizzling.

Tip 1: Worship at frequent Intervals…don’t wait until you are spiritually dehydrated to come back to church (Hebrews 10).

Tip 2: Dress Strategically…Paul told the Ephesians to put on the Full Armor of God so that by it you will be able to beat the heat in life (Ephesians 6:10-20).

Hope this helps acclimate you physically and spiritually today.

Have a Blessed Day!
