Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The foundation of Christmas and Christ’s birth rests in God’s grace. The mercy and grace demonstrated by the gift of Jesus Christ for each of us in unequivocally the greatest gift of all time. Each and every one of us needs grace. The best acrostic I have ever heard for the word grace is:
Romans 5:8 says, “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Now that is grace. If you don’t truly understand grace, ponder on that acrostic. When the price of our sins needed to be paid, God wrote the check and Jesus cashed it. Use the acrostic to explain Christ’s love to someone in your path today, you’ll both be better off for it!
The sacrifice of Jesus is the demonstration of God’s love for his people.
