Remember How Great God Is! – August 18, 2016

Exodus 3:11, But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

At Cottonwood Creek, I’ve been in a teaching series titled, “Navigating Life’s Journey.” Probably the greatest biblical example of answering God’s call is Moses in Exodus 3, where God speaks to Moses from the burning bush. God essentially said, “Moses, I’ve seen the misery of My people, and I want you to go and rescue them from Egypt.” And The truth is Moses responded a lot like we do when God calls us to follow Him; he doubted his own ability and was afraid of failing. Moses also doubted if he was good enough to do the job.

In Exodus 3, Moses said, “Who am I that I should go to Pharoah and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” A lot of us feel the same way when God ask us to do something great; we just don’t think we have a high enough standing. Honestly, nobody is good enough to do anything great for God apart from God’s help. That is the key. Moses forgot that it did not matter how great he was, all that really mattered was how great God was. The same is true for you and me today. If God calls us to do something great, all we have to do is trust Him because if God told us to do it, He will make sure we succeed.

Think about that…and have a blessed day!
