God Wants To Bless You – August 8, 2016
Genesis 12:1, The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Sunday I began a new teaching series titled, Navigating Life’s Journey. The first key to understanding life’s journey is a proper understanding of God’s blessings in our lives. Here’s some good news, God wants to bless you!
What is a blessing? The word blessing in the Bible means to kneel before, to enrich, or to say a good word about. God’s blessings require two things. We have to kneel before God, and we must ask God what He wants from us. God wants to enrich us. Now don’t just think money here. To be enriched means more than just money. To be blessed means to live with joy, to have good relationships with family and friends, and to experience a good relationship with God and God’s people, the Church. Having a good relationship with God is an important part to being blessed with good relationships with others. So, if you really want to see God’s blessings in your life, work on your relationship with Him, and get connected with God’s people in a local church.
Think about that and have a blessed day!
