1 Peter 2:2:  Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation…

When a child is born, a celebration of new life takes place, and then the real work begins as that child starts to grow. Our spiritual lives are the same way. We are truly born through an act of faith in Jesus Christ, and then our spiritual growth begins, just like the physical growth of a child.

What happens when a child does not seem to be growing properly? We get worried, and we seek out answers to make sure that proper physical development takes place. That should also be the way it is in our spiritual growth. If our spiritual growth is stagnant and stunted, we need to seek answers and solutions. In this week’s blog, I want to give you five keys to your spiritual growth that will help you jump-start your faith if it has stalled.

Key number one to our spiritual growth is this: We Must Study God’s Word because the Bible is our spiritual food. 1 Peter 2:2 says, Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation…

Did you get that? The Bible is to the Christian what a mother’s milk is to a newborn baby. It is spiritual food that will allow us to grow up. The first key to spiritual growth is reading the Bible.  Don’t put it off- get started today.

Join me tomorrow for the second key to growing spiritually.

Take care and have a blessed day!
