Mark 11:22, “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
Hebrews 11:39, These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
I am currently preaching a new series at Cottonwood Creek entitled “Building a Great Life.” This week’s focus is: One Key to Building a Great Life is is to Build our Faith. In Mark 11:22, Jesus said, “Have faith in God!” Most of us know in our heads that we need to have faith in God, but we are not sure how to grow our faith?
Today’s suggestion for building our faith is: Trust God even if we don’t seem to get it!
Hebrews 11:39-40, which is referred to as the “Faith Hall of Fame,” says, “These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better…” They were commended for their faith, even when they didn’t feel like they received what was promised to them. This was because God had something better planned for them! Sometimes we don’t get what we want from God, and that simply means God has something better planned for us.
Faith is trusting God even if I don’t seem to get it!
Think about that and have a blessed weekend!
