Mark 11:22, “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”

At Cottonwood Creek, I started a new teaching series entitled “Building a Great Life.” On Sunday, I started with the first key to building a great life which is building our faith. In Mark 11:22, Jesus said, “Have faith in God!” Most of us know in our heads that we need to have faith in God, and probably most of us wish we had more faith in God, but how do I grow my faith?

This week, I want to give you several thoughts on building and growing your faith. Thought number one, on building your faith is, faith is obeying God even when you don’t understand it!

Hebrews 11:8 says, “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.” When God called Abraham and to do something, Abraham obeyed God. A lot of times we don’t see our faith grow because we simply don’t do what God has asked us to do. Think back on your life, have there been times that you know God wanted you to do something but you didn’t obey Him? If so, you didn’t build your faith. So, ask God today if there is something He wants you to do, then do it! That is the first step to building your faith!

Think about that and have a blessed day!
