James 1:5, If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1:22, Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Have you ever needed wisdom for a big decision? Have ever needed God to direct you in life? Maybe you are in that place right now. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” James says if we need wisdom all we have to do is ask God because He gives generously without finding fault. Wisdom is seeing life from God’s point of view. Wisdom is the ability to make decisions the way God makes decisions. God promises to give you wisdom, if you simply will ask Him.
Too often we just want God to fix a problem for us, but God says I not only want to fix your problem, but I want you to trust Me and follow Me. So, if you need some wisdom today, remember to ask God in faith. Then trust Him and do what He says.
Take care and have a blessed day!

What did you hear?
What did God say to you as you read today’s Scripture and devotion?
What do you Think?-How does it apply to your life?
What will you do?-Don’t just be a hearer of the Word. Be a doer of the Word. (James 1:22)
Now talk to God-This is where you turn your thoughts into prayer. It could be a prayer of gratitude of praise. It could be a prayer of confession or a request for God’s help. It’s up to you. Take a minute to write a prayer or response to what God said to you.
