God Will Not Let You Fail – August 16, 2016

Exodus 4:1, Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you’?”

I am currently teaching  a series titled, “Navigating Life’s Journey.” This past Sunday we talked about answering God’s call on your life. Probably the greatest biblical example of this is Moses in Exodus 3 where God speaks to Moses from the burning bush. God essentially said, “Moses, I have seen the misery of My people, and I want you to go and rescue them from Egypt.”

The truth is, Moses responded a lot like we do when God calls us to follow Him or do something great for Him. Moses was afraid of failing. Moses said, “What if they don’t believe me or listen to what I say?” The problem for Moses was his focus. He was more worried about failing than he was about doing what God called him to do. Quite often, this is the exact problem that holds us back. We sense God calling us to do something, but we are afraid. We are afraid of failure and rejection.  If fear is inhibiting you, I want to encourage you to trust God, and do what He asks you to do. Remember, no matter the outcome, saying yes to God is never failure.

Think about it…and have a blessed day!
