He himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world. 1 JOHN 2:2
Have you thought recently about the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross? His Sacrifice goes “way beyond” just our personal salvation.
He cares about each and every one of us who has received salvation—an example of that is found in Luke 15-where he said, “He leaves the 99 sheep to go after the 1 sheep who has wandered away”—now that is deep love and care.
But his sacrifice, love and care goes beyond just us—as our focus verse, 1 John 2:2 says, “His sacrifice was not for ours only, but for the entire world.”
So as you make your journey today-reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice, care and love for you—and remember, Jesus’ sacrifice was intended to reach the ‘whole world.’ Who can you impact today? Be intentional.
