Ecclesiastes 3:11, He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Last Sunday, I began preaching a series entitled, ‘Explore God.’ I asked and answered the question, “Does My Life Have A Purpose?” The answer is yes, the real purpose of your life is to serve and honor God. Sometimes I hear people ask the question, “Wouldn’t this world be better without religion, especially Christianity?” In a song once sung by John Lennon, he encouraged us to ‘Imagine’ a world with no religion. Over the years some people have suggested that is a great idea. However, the truth is that a religion-less life doesn’t match reality. Many people reduce religion to the search for ‘spiritual truth,’ but more accurately, religion is being devoted to anything. Some have made a religion out of saving the whales, fighting global-warming, climbing the corporate ladder, or fighting for a specific social issue they are devoted to that cause and thus it’s become their religion.

The Bible says, God “… has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” If God has set eternity in the human heart, then being devoted to Him is the only way to have true and lasting purpose in our lives. Join me this Sunday as I answer the question: “Is There A God?”

Think about it…and have a blessed day!
