Colossians 3:23-24, “Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the master you are serving is Christ.”

This week we are discovering the Biblical principles of our daily work. The Bible has a lot to say about God’s plan and His promise for our lives at the office.

Yesterday, I covered principle number one; We need to “work enthusiastically”. The Bible says, “Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.” Romans 12:11

Principle number two is: I must remember for whom I am ultimately working. Colossians 3:23 -24 says, Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the master you are serving is Christ.”

Did you get that? The truth is that you are not really working for your Company, Your boss or a board. You are working for your real Master…God.

It really does not matter what career path you have chosen as long as it is not unbiblical or immoral. God is your ultimate boss. After all, it was God who created you with a specific set of skills, abilities and passions.

As you head to the office today, work enthusiastically and for God!

Take care and have a blessed day!
