Romans 12:11, Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

Over the past few weeks, we have studied what the Bible says about our spiritual health and the areas that flow out of that such as our relationships, emotions, finances, and our physical health.

This week I want to look at another key area of our lives that the Bible speaks a lot about –“Our Work!” I want to give you five Biblical principles about our work. The Bible says, “Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.” Romans 12:11

Most Christians spend about an hour a week in worship on Sunday mornings in order to be spiritually refreshed, recharged and encouraged. However, our faith is most evident when we are outside of church and a lot of that time is spent on the job.

The good news about our work is that there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of occupations you can choose that honor God. As a Pastor, I will even submit to you that many people do a lot more ministry in their occupations than those of us in ministry jobs get to do each and every week.

Read the verse again, “Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.”
Romans 12:11

Biblical Principle number one about your work: “Work hard and enthusiastically!”

Why is that? Because your work is important to God. Join me tomorrow as we examine another principal about work.

Take Care…and have a blessed day at work!
