Colossians 4:6, Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Here’s the Thought… “Your Words Do Matter”
I just read an article about how to make a good first impression at the office. When thinking of first impressions leading to lasting impressions most people talk about dress and appearance. However, just as our appearance and dress leave lasting first impressions, the article stated that what we say is more important.
In addition, the article stated that some of the most powerful first words you can use are: Sir, Ma’am, Thank You, You are Welcome, and How can I help. Those words are not just powerful in the office, they are powerful in every situation in life. So, words like Sir, Ma’am, Thank You and You are Welcome should be in your vocabulary each and every day. They pack power in every relationship you have.
That is why the Apostle Paul instructed us to let our speech be gracious because words really do matter.
Think about it…and have a blessed day!
