1 Peter 3:13, Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” 15But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

This week I want to look at the words of the Apostle Peter to Christians about how we should act and live in the world. Peter starts with a question in verse 13 he says, Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? Peter is saying that we need to be eager to do good for it will not bring you any harm. Usually this statement is true, however in Peter’s day, Christians were persecuted beyond belief. They were persecuted and sometimes martyred, much like some Christians today, for simply being Christians.
How should the Christian live? It is very clearly stated by Peter that the true Christian should live a life filled with good deeds because in doing so, you will honor God, you will honor those around you, and you will stay out of a lot of trouble.

If you have the choice today, do some good!
Think about it and have a blessed day!
