Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Peter 3:18, For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous…

Tomorrow is Good Friday. For those who are familiar with the events of Good Friday, it almost seems like a contradiction in terms because when we look at what happened to Jesus (His betrayal, trials, beating, crown of thorns, and being nailed to the cross) there just was not much that was good.

Why is Good Friday referred to as “good”? Simply put, Good Friday is referred to as Good Friday not because the events of the day were good BUT because  the results of the bad that took place on that day were GOOD.

Read the following from the Apostle Paul, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” –NOW THAT WAS GOOD! (Romans 5:8)

Here’s what Peter Added, “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous…AND THAT WAS GOOD! 1 Peter 3:18

Think about that and make this Friday a “Good Friday” !
