Romans 12:2, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Yesterday, we talked about the importance of renewing our minds and changing the way we think. We took note of what the Apostle Paul said, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Why is it so important to renew your mind? Let me give you three reasons:

1.  Because your thoughts control your life: Every action starts with a thought. If you don’t think it. You don’t do it! Whether the action is positive or negative, it begins with a thought.

2.  Because your mind is the battleground of sin:  Every temptation in your life happens in your mind. Think about it… pride, lust, hatred, fear, resentment, envy, and worry. Where do those happen? In your mind.

3.  Because renewing your mind is the key to real PEACE & HAPPINESS:  When our minds are out of control, we constantly feel tension and pressure, and our lives are characterized by conflict and stress. However, when we renew our minds, we live in peace and confidence with strength and courage.

This what the Bible says about your mind:  Romans 8:6, The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (NIV)

Think about it, and have a blessed day.

Tomorrow’s blog topic: You must feed your mind with truth to have true peace!
