Romans 12:17,  Do not repay anyone evil for evil…19Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

This week we have been looking at the fact that every one of us has some sort of emotional pain and baggage from the past.  Step number one in getting over that pain was…  You must reveal your hurt to someone you trust and give it to God.  Here is step number two in getting over your emotional pain:  release those who have hurt you.  The truth is that we always want to get back at the person who hurt us.  But here is a question that you need to ask yourself.  “Do I want to get well or do I want to get even?”

It is usually an either or situation.  If  you want to even, you are going to stay mad and stay in your pain. However, if  you want to get well, you must forgive those who have caused emotional pain.  Here is what the Bible says.  Romans 12:17,  Do not repay anyone evil for evil…19Do not  take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. So whatever it is in your past just release the person who hurt you and start to get over it.

Don’t just think about it… act on it,  and have a blessed day!
