This week’s topic is Setting Goals by Faith.  We normally talk a lot about setting goals in January with the start of a new year; however, most people can’t even remember WHAT their New Year’s resolutions were by the time September comes around.  So as summer ends and school begins again, I want to refocus on the topic of goals… specifically setting Personal Goals by Faith.

The Bible says that God created every person to be an ORIGINAL—He created every person with his/her own set of talents, gifts, passions and abilities.  However, if we are not careful, and we don’t set Goals, we tend to lose our uniqueness and end up being a copycat of someone else or a compilation of a lot of things.

The Apostle Paul said in Romans 12:2– Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Did you hear that verse?  Paul said, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world”.  In other words, don’t be a copy of something that was not intended.  Instead he says be Transformed.  Be an original.  Be the person God made you to be.

Think about it and have a blessed day!
