Colossians 3:1, Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

It is not uncommon as we journey through life to find ourselves a little down and discouraged. You may even feel that way today. However, in the above two verses, the Apostle Paul gives a couple of simple suggestions for pulling ourselves out of the doldrums of life. First he says, “…set your hearts on the things above…” In other words, love the best things in life; love the things of God and not simply the things of this world. Secondly he says, “…set your minds on the things above…” When we think about all the bad in this world, and there is a lot, a natural reaction is to get down. However, when we look for the good, we can always find it. Looking for the good is setting your mind on the things above.

Set your heart and mind right today, and you will probably find today better than yesterday.

Think about it…and have a blessed day!
