I love celebrating Christmas!  However I feel that we often forget the reason for the season as we focus on the commercialism of the holiday.  We think it is all about ol Saint Nick, eggnog, presents, and traveling to Grandma’s house, but in the midst of the holiday rush, do we ever stopped to ask ourselves what is the true purpose of Christmas? Christmas stands for Christ Mass or a celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. The reason Christmas is so amazing is because it represents hope for the hopeless; it gives life to the dead, and it restores our broken relationship with God. If Jesus never came, there would be no Christmas and there would be no hope for our broken world to be restored. We celebrate Christmas because Jesus is the greatest gift anyone could ever receive.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
