Over the past few weeks I have been preaching a sermon series entitled “Breaking Bad.” This series examines the “seven deadly sins” in the Bible: pride, greed, lust, anger, gluttony, envy, and sloth. Some people call these sins- deadly sins, while others call them- cardinal sins.

This is what I have noticed about all the lists that we find anywhere in Christendom: pride always comes first. Perhaps that is true because all of the other sins that we experience each and everyday flow from that one idea of pride. Here is what Paul said, “Let us not think more highly of ourselves than we ought to, but instead let us think of others first.”

Today, lay down the pride and start leading with humility. Think about that, and have a blessed day!
