Positive change…that is the desire!  At the beginning of every new year, we all think of things in our lives we would like to change and improve. Oftentimes,  that thought is followed with a desperate question—“How did my life, my finances, my health or my family get to its current state?”

Let me answer that question for you right now.  Although some events in life are out of our control, most of the time, we get what we are getting in life because of what we are doing… our habits, our actions, and our priorities.

That is the bad news and the good news at the same time.  We must take responsibility for the way things are in our lives.  We should not blame others, the system or the economy.

But there is good news…if you want different results in 2014—change something. In other words, come up with a new set of habits, thoughts and actions that are designed to get what you want.

The Bible puts it this way, “Put off the old self, which belongs to your former manner of living…and put on the new self” (Ephesians 4:22-23).

In other words, if we put away the old things and instead put on a new set of habits, thoughts and actions, we are in effect creating a new set of results for 2014.

Think about it and have a blessed day!
