Hi, this is Jeana Caton. My husband- John Mark – pastors Cottonwood Creek Church. I am excited to bring you today’s Inspirational Thought. I recently heard a soccer coach telling his athletes IF YOU LOSE IT GET IT BACK- I thought this wisdom could impact us in life even more so than on an athletic field. It is a fact that change and loss will happen in life, but how we react is critical. Today I want to talk to you about losing your Joy. Many things in life can cause the loss of joy- your family life, your job, your kids, your parents, your friends, or even your neighbors might suck the joy right out of you. Sometimes, we don’t even realize that it is gone because bitterness has settled in as a permanent occupant in our hearts. Have you lost your joy today? If you have, my challenge to you is GET IT BACK. Getting it back will take action on your behalf. You might have to apologize, confront, make changes, compromise, or agree to disagree. You might have to treat someone with kindness who has shown you contempt.
Proverts 17:22 says, A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
So, take your medicine today and reclaim the joy in your life.
