Proverbs 15:4, The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life.

Do you know someone that loves teasing his wife? Do you know someone who might occasionally reveal an embarrassing secret about their husband to a friend? One thing we do not want to do is embarrass the one we love the most, our spouse. We need to build trust in a marriage. Information that is shared in private should remain private. For one partner to reveal a family secret, carelessly breaks the couple’s bond of loyalty and violates trust. Men especially are often reluctant to share feelings and fears with their wives, yet openness fosters trust and intimacy. Sharing thoughts is vital to a healthy, secure marriage.
Ask your spouse these questions:
• Are you comfortable with the amount and nature of teasing in our relationship?
• Do I share my thoughts with you as much as you’d like?
• Do our words “bring healing” to each other?
The Bible says in Proverbs, “The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life.”

Think about it.
