Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Do you ever feel so burdened by the pressures of life or by the guilt of your pride and sin that you just do not know where to go? This is the common denominator that every human faces, and the problem is that we look in the wrong places for our refuge and strength. We look to everyone but God to find rest for our souls. Jesus said in the book of Matthew this amazing statement about finding rest in Him, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

In other words, Jesus claimed that if you come to Him just as you are, He will give you rest. Jesus is asking you to stop trying to earn your way to Him, and just give up, and come as you are. If you trust Him and come to Him, He will satisfy you. There is only one condition and that is, you must recognize that you can’t help yourself and that you need Jesus. As you are going throughout your day, please think about these things, and find strength in Christ.

Have a blessed day.
