Ephesians 1:7– In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8that He lavished on us…

It is summertime in Texas, which means a lot of heat and almost no rain. In Ephesians 1, the Apostle Paul wrote that through faith in Jesus Christ we have the “…forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us…” Did you read those words? “…the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us…” The word lavished, in the Greek, means to overflow. That means God does not give us His grace in a tight-fisted, limited fashion. Not at all, God pours His grace out on His children in an unmeasured and overflowing fashion. God does not give us a pinch of grace here and a pinch of grace there. Instead, He pours it on us. That same word is also used in other Greek literature about being caught in a downpour of rain. In other words, we are caught in a downpour of God’s grace, and we should we respond to this grace  by putting our umbrellas away and enjoying it. However, after we’ve enjoyed the downpour of God’s grace in our lives, we must be sure you to share that same grace with others.

Think about it…and have a blessed day!
