I recently read an article about the five most searched Bible passages on the web from the last twelve months. Each day this week we will look at one of the five passages.
The fifth most popular passage is Psalm 23:

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, 3He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

You have to wonder why people reach for this verse.
Is it for contentment? (The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing)
Is it for peace? (He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul) (fear no evil)
Is it for direction? (He guides me along the right path..,)
Is it for confidence? (You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows)
In the midst of our world today, it is not surprising that this passage is one of the top five. Pray and claim this verse for yourself today.
Take care and have a blessed day!
