We are all aware of the idea of a minimum wage and the fact that every couple of years Congress raises it to help lift people out of poverty. However, there is a new book out by a French Economist that pushes for a maximum wage. In other words, just like there is a minimum wage this economist said we should have a maximum wage for workers.
Granted, I’m not an economist and don’t really have a dog in the hunt because I make more than the minimum wage and will never even come close to making the authors recommended maximum wage. But more importantly when it comes to the Christian walk there are no minimum wage earning Christians. We are all maximum “Grace” wage earners.
Here’s what the Bible says:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ…  to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us …  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that He lavished on us” ( Ephesians1: 3,6,7,8).
Now that’s good news…the grace I get from God is in accordance with His grace and glorious riches and not my effort.
So think about that…and enjoy your Maximum Wage day!
