1 Peter 2:4, As you come to Him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious,
and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Have you ever felt out of place or not that special? Have you ever felt like you did not matter much to the world around you? If so, read these words from the Apostle Peter that address that very thought process. Peter says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession.” (1 Peter 2:9 NIV) Sometimes that is hard to remember; especially when we are surrounded by people, politicians, some media outlets and some educators who want to make fun of us for having Christian convictions.

Living out your faith and standing up for what is right is difficult whether you are a high school student, college student, or a business person… It is difficult to stay focused and remember who you really are in Christ.

Be reminded, regardless of what others say or think, the most important words you will ever hear are found right there in the Bible. God chose you, and He chose you to be royal and holy; that in and of itself makes you God’s special possession.

So remember you are special in God’s eyes…and those are the only eyes that really matter!

Think about it, and have a special day!
