Romans 12:2, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

There are certain life-changing ideas that impact us positively or negatively. My recent blogs have examined these ideas in hopes that we TRANSFORM our lives to be more like Christ. The first week we looked at the “Importance of Setting Spiritual Goals.” Week two’s blog answered the question “How do we get closer to God?” Last week, we studied “How to move from being stressed out to blessed out!”

This week’s aspect of letting God transform your life has to do with your mind and the way you think.

The Apostle Paul said, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

I have found over my years as a Pastor that most people want God to change their circumstances.  They are a little shocked when I tell them, “You know, God is more interested in changing your mindset and attitude than He is about changing your circumstances.”

People usually do not understand the importance of changing their thinking. The rest of this week, I will cover the importance of renewing your mind, the importance of feeding your mind with truth to have true peace, the necessity of freeing your mind from destructive thoughts, and the critical need to focus your mind on the right things.

Let me leave you with Paul’s words to ponder-“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind!”

Have a blessed Day!
