ROMANS 12:2,   Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

This week we have been talking about the fact that everyone has some emotional wounds.  I have been giving you some steps to get over your hurts from the past. Step number one was to reveal your hurt to God and someone you trust. Step number two was to release those who hurt you and forgive them.

Here is step number three. We have to replace the old lies we tell ourselves with God’s truth. You know what I have found? Our brains are amazing record keepers. They remember everything negative that happens in our lives. But here is what the Bible says in Romans 12:2, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think day by day. Here is what you need to do if you want to get over your emotional wounds and replace the old lies. You have to read God’s Word each and every day, and pray that God will help you have positive thinking and not negative.  This takes time and effort, but the emotional payoff is priceless.

Think about it and have a blessed day!
