Even If You Have Messed Up, God Has A Plan – August 12, 2016
Genesis 12:1, The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Philippians 1:6, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…
This week’s blog focus targets the promise that God wants to bless you, and He wants to bless others through you. God’s blessings flow from a right relationship with God and God’s people. God’s blessings come when we get rid of sin and selfishness in our lives because God’s blessings in our lives are always for the purpose of blessing others.
One final thought for this week is that God still has a plan for your life, regardless of how much you have messed up in the past. Read this verse in Philippians 1:6, “be confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” What a thought! Regardless of how much failure or mistakes mark one’s life, you can still be confident that God can still use you, God can still bless you, and God can still make something great out of your life! Think about that as you journey through the weekend.
Hope to see you in church on Sunday as I continue my teaching series, “Navigating Life’s Journey.”Take care and have a blessed weekend!
