Mark 6:35, By this time it was late in the day, so His disciples came to Him. “This is a remote place,” they said, “and it’s already very late. 36Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” 37But He answered, “You give them something to eat.” They said to Him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?”
I am currently teaching a sermon series called “Building A Great Life!” As we attempt to build a great life, sometimes we need God to perform a miracle in our circumstances. Mark 6 shows us perhaps the most well-known miracle, and it is the only miracle of Jesus that is told in all four Gospels. Jesus fed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish. This week’s blogs will focus on ways you can prepare for a miracle in your life.
First, in order to be ready for a miracle in your life, you must admit you have a need. You have to be willing to admit you need God to perform a miracle in your life. You have to admit you can’t solve the problem on your own. The disciples looked at all the people and told Jesus to send the people away because they didn’t have enough food to feed them. Admitting they had a need was the first step to seeing Jesus perform a miracle. If you need a miracle today, start by admitting to God that you have a need and admit you can’t solve the problem on your own.
Take care and have a blessed day!
