Full Armor Of God – March 14, 2016

Ephesians 6:14, Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Every day we head out into a world that is filled with difficulties and struggles. Some of those struggles are physical, others are emotional, financial, relational or occupational. Regardless of what difficulties you and I face today, the Apostle Paul says we have armor for the battles ahead.

In Ephesians 6, Paul tells us there are six pieces of equipment we can put on every day to keep us safe and strong for the battle ahead. Read Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:14, “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Did you read those? There’s a belt, a breastplate, boots, a shield, a helmet and a sword. Each one is essential and vital as we stand firm during the tough times in life. Join me the rest of the week as I break them down one at a time, but today make sure you are dressed for the battles ahead.

Think about it…and have a blessed day!
