Care About Your Coworkers – February 9, 2017

1 Corinthians 16:14, Whatever you do, do it with kindness and love.

Ephesians 4:2, Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

I’ve been teaching a series at Cottonwood Creek entitled, “Life Matters More When We Honor God!” When we look at Scripture one of the most important areas which we can honor God is through our work or our vocation. This week I want to share with you five Biblical principles about our work. If you missed my previous thoughts about work, you can find it on my daily blog, www.johnmarkcaton.com. The fourth biblical principle about work is to care about the people with whom you work.

Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16:14, “Whatever you do, do it with kindness and love.” Who do we show kindness and love to? People! What better way can we minister than by genuinely caring about those we work with. Another Bible verse to encourage us to care about those we work with is found in Ephesians 4:2, “Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” In other words, no one is perfect! That includes you and every person we work with. If you really care about them, the Bible says you will be kind, loving and patient with others, forgiving their faults. Imagine what a positive impact you could make at the office if you started genuinely caring about those you work with.

Think about it and have a blessed day!
